Spankings hurt a lot. Depending on what you are spanked with will determine how much they hurt. My mom gave me most of my spankings because she was a stay at home mom but I also received plenty from my dad and a few from my grandpa that lived on our property.
Mom spanked with a wooden spoon for most things but for a more severe spanking she used her ivory hairbrush. If you got the spoon she would say “go get me a spoon and get back here” Then you would have to go into the kitchen and get it out of the drawer and hand it to her. Then it was pants and panties down and bend over. The spoon hurts a lot more than you think it will and you’ll be crying pretty quickly and wanting it to be over. For the hairbrush, she would make us fetch it from her bedroom and then we had to bare our bottoms and go over her knees. Even at 14-15 years old I’d come off her lap sobbing like a baby.
As far as what it feels like I’d describe it as a very intense stinging, burning, thud feeling. Once the burning eventually goes away your bottom feels bruised and the muscles feel sore for a bit. When it’s happening it feels unbearable right from the start. It’s hard not to cry even if you don’t want to because the pain is so intense.
If I got spanked by my dad or grandad it was always their belt or a leather strap on the bare butt bent over with your hands on your knees and butt sticking out.
The belt/strap feel hot when it lands and will take your breath away with how intense it burns. The burning intensifies with each lick and eventually your butt gets numb. Then about 5 mins or so after it’s over the numbness wears off and you feel the full intensity of the burning which is absolutely unbearable for about 30 mins. You don’t want to touch it or wear clothes because it feels hot and swollen. I was always sore for a day or 2 after a belting. Definitely the worst for me.

What incredibly perceptive descriptions of what firm or proper or Good Old Fashioned spankings with the spoon, hairbrush, and strap/belt feel like. Your way with words is marvelous and spot on! And tailored for each implement. No doubt you acquired your knowledge "first hand" from actually experiencing them. You seem cheerful and happy and not angry about spankings. And you have titrated or adjusted any that you yourself administer. Brava!

I agree that you are very good now! You are one of my voy favorites, you are still married, and you are still being a patient and loving mother to yours (two I think)! But, let's be honest -- you got some really hard spankings! Some of the best anyone here either got or pretended that they got!
I had a friend who said: Once there are three kids, you need another arm just to get them safely across the street. With five kids, perhaps you need at least two more arms? So, it can't have been easy for your parents.

Thank you! That’s kind of you to say. Yes I did receive pretty harsh spankings but lots of love also. My parents were very no nonsense and there were just things you didn’t do or you knew you were in for it. Especially growing up the way I did on a horse ranch there was a lot of dangerous situations to get yourself into which we did often and had to be taught a lesson. Yes 5 kids would be wild. The 2 I have is plenty. Lol

Two allows for one for each arm so crossing the street safely was manageable!
How would you say the spankings you received affect the spankings you administered? Did you, for example, avoid a particular implement? Announce a definite number of spanks?
