Like many of you, I was also focused on the face most of the time. As a teenager, my oldest sister typically started out either defiant or angry and that morphed into shock with the first few spanks. I guess there was always just enough time between her spankings that she was always underestimating how much it would hurt. After the shock wore off, the tears would start and then came the pleading followed by the promises. If the spanking went on long enough she'd get to the point of sobbing and you could see a sort of defeat or surrender to knowing she wasn't in control. Either way, when it was over she would jump in place a few times holding her butt with both hands and then her face would turn bright red with embarrassment as she seemed to suddenly realize she had an audience.

My other sister usually looked terrified at first and she'd be pleading and trying to negotiate her way out of the spanking all the way until the first swat landed. The terror on her face changed into panic like something much worse than a spanking was happening to her. She also made a lot of noises for the first several swats as the tears started flowing. The more she cried the more desperate she seemed to look and she did a lot more kicking and squirming too. If it went on long enough she'd get to the point of exhaustion and I swear you could see the remorse in her eyes at that point. When it was over she'd hop/jump around in a circle trying to see her butt while fanning it with her hands and usually apologizing profusely as well. Then, like with our older sister, she'd suddenly realize she had an audience and her face would turn beet red. She'd also try to cover up with her hands and arms, but you could tell she knew it was too late to really matter.

I always felt a bit uncomfortable and awkward seeing my sisters get spanked, but I was also completely fascinated by it. On the occasions where I witnessed my cousins get spankings I was able to enjoy it more because I had less sympathy for them.
