Dean,

For the most part, I agree with you. However, I do feel if a parent is giving a lot of spankings the parent should give less even if the kids continue to misbehave.

Also, in terms of the crosses, which I am not saying is a good idea, an offense could get the girl 12 or more crosses. I think the idea behind the cross system is that if a girl is repeatedly doing something very minor wrong, then at some point she should be punished for it. For example, if a girl misses curfew by 5 minutes, twice a week for a year, should she be punished for that?
