I wanted the floor to open up & swallow me. She was one of the group of neighborhood girls that tormented the younger boys, girls being more mature at that age. She sat in a chair after my mom had me get her a Kool-Aid, she did look a bit uncomfortable, but she was where she could see my fanny & thank goodness not my face. I cried, pleaded, howled & apologized. I was in the corner before she left. I have no idea if she was spanked or not

I can only imagine that the next few days at school were agony. Fortunately, kids only focus on something like that for a short time then move on. Did anyone ask any embarrassing questions?

It was the 1960's, spankings were fairly common albeit not quite so public. A girl who was rather reserved & quiet said she heard I had been spanked, was it true? & I had to admit it was, then asked "Does that happen often?" & I had to blush & admit that it did. She never brought it up again.
