This was definitely true in my experience. I knew several girls from our church (my sister and myself included) that were spanked well into our teens years. Although I don't have any brothers, the other girls who did have brothers all said that the boys weren't spanked any longer at somewhere around 10-11 years old. I know most of the parents in our circle expected their daughters to "act like young ladies" while acknowledging that "boys will be boys."
