I was about to go track down Ann but thought I would come here to check and see if you had written anything more. I admit, I have made some mistakes. Mostly I would have to say, allowing Jan to slide when I should have been a bit more strict.

I understand your logic on having a feel for what the receiving end feels like. This will be a little strange as I do consider myself the alpha in the family. Maybe as you stated, this will help me become an even better disciplinarian. It will all come down to if Ann is actually able to assume that role. This is why I have always been the spanker in this house. She can watch me discipline our daughter but if it came to her having to do it, not so much. Apparently it is in your DNA to lay the strap to Mork. I don't know if Ann's DNA is the same. It's a good idea, but can I get Ann to do it and then on top of that, do it properly. We'll see.
