 My mother always felt that a spanking on your BARE bottom was much worse. Did relatively thin underpants or "briefs" or "boxers" really lower the intensity of the spanks? I suspect that its more a mental than a physical thing, especially the idea that nylon holds in the heat!

Did anyone think afterward that wearing a base layer helped them get off any easier? A thought that "Wow was I lucky, I got to keep (as a friend put it) "my thin cotton drawers" on!

She actually said they did nothing on the protection front!
