After your mother bailed, you have had quite a good life. Are you tempted to try to find her?

I have a good friend who was abandoned by her dad right after her younger sister was born. Her mom remarried and had three more girls! In mid-life she decided to track down her dad and meet him. She spent a lot of money and finally did meet him after a long cross-country flight. He was like a total stranger with a totally new family and life. They had a pleasant but awkward two hour chat and my friend went back to the airport and rebooked the next flight back home. She never had any contact after the meeting.

She seemed content and did not ever complain about it not being worth the money. As an outsider to this world, I think she wasted a lot of time, mainly, but since she was a teacher and had to save up to afford the trip, money also.

I mention this because it can't be easy for you living with the thoughts of your bio mom. You are doing very well both at work and at home. God Bless! Keep up the great work
