You could call us strict parents I guess, although we like to think we just set common sense rules and ensure they are followed. You shouldn't get the impression that we spank our children every day, it's more like once or twice a month. They are pretty well behaved in general.

There isn't really a need for my wife to be around for a spanking, so she isn't most of the time. I can do it on my own, without having her hold the kids in place.

The kids bare themselves, when we tell them to get ready for a spanking. They know the routine and we rarely have to intervene to speed things up.

Our son can easily touch his toes while keeping his legs straight. His legs are closed and his feet are supposed to be not more then a couple of inches apart. Although it does take some effort on his part to maintain that position for the duration of a spanking, it's also not excessively difficult. The harder part doing it while he is spanked. I don't see how this position is more shameful than any other. Whats shameful is the behavior they are punished for, not the punishment. Our son actually prefers touching his toes to over the knee or the diaper position. He says it makes him feel more grown up.
