Well R has upheaved the household and gone off to D's for the night. I am here all alone...Maybe i'll get some work done.
How was the trip? I'll bet the 2 had a blast. Did the swim? Get some icees? I can imagine the 2nd building sand castles. Did the 1st get in the ocean? Were the waves peaceful enough for them to really enjoy it? God, i know you 3 are certainly burnt by now! It was sunny, hot, and definitely a day for it! I'll bet you even had a great time on the road. You know, the open windows, the stereo blasting, the wind in your hair, flying down the highway. It felt good, the feeling of freedom. I know its only temporary but it still feels good for a while, doesn't it?
The kids had a ball and I know appreciate you for this. Its good for them to get out of there and see a little of the world even if its still in state. Broadens their minds, lets them know there's more to life. I believe its important to grow up with the sense that there truly IS a big world out there. If you can give them the desire to see it, you've won half the battle. They'll do the rest when the time comes. You kinda hinted that you didnt really want to make this trip. Your sacrifices for your 2 will surely pay off one day. They KNOW who cares for them, YOU!
