Actually, my reply there sounds a bit ungrateful, and it's not meant to be. I'm sorry. It's kind of you to archive all the work and make sure it remains available like this. I've certainly benefitted from it over the past few years, I'm sure plenty of others have too, and I'm sure nowhere near enough people have thanked you for it.
I said I'd be withdrawing, and that's the objective, but I can't really face deleting my own work. To be honest there are online buddies I've made over this time who ought to have an explanation too. The p*** stash was another matter, but I worked hard on my stories, even if they are amateurish and cringey. I was about to retire this Nom De Plume and rework all my stories, bringing them up to date as Matt Stanton, who is an analog of me anyway. Maybe I'll still do that, but my hand got forced a bit. There's a Reddit post that details the story of how this came about.
