I ended up going down the rabbit hole on this one a bit, shortly before posting this, I'll get to that.
I tried to preserve the formatting of the original as much as possible, but it was difficult, and there is a bit of white space as a result, sorry about that.
It seems the Author of the Editorial, Esther Powers was a bit of a feminist, and while I understand that she's upset, she comes across as one of those 'Blame Men For Everything' types. Doesn't do much to help her case. When you b*tch about everything, people tend to not take you seriously after a point. I'll leave that there, lest I warm to the topic and upset people. My bestie is a feminist, and she is perfectly reasonable about it, but I digress.
Now here's where I went down the rabbit hole. I had a question, Who is this "Little Tim" referred to in the Op-Ed?
That would be Timothy "Little Tim" Sullivan, as referred to by the pro-smoking feminazi. He was also referred to as Timothy "Big Fellah" Sullivan by the Pro-Gun folks in New York in 1911.
Either way, he must have been short of stature, or something.
I mean, the Female public Smoking ban thing was pretty dumb, and Sullivan was rightfully called out on it, and it was killed off two weeks later by the Mayor of the day anyway. Perhaps he didn't want to face the wrath of the resident cat lady too.
And no, I'm not a Misogynist or anything, but I'm being critical of the woman, because where she should have stopped at attacking the Idea, she went full retard, and not only attacked be man behind it, but an entire gender. In my book, she's Fair Game.
All that nonsense aside, it's an interesting snapshot of history. Though it seems history has repeated, and a lot more people with power have gone full retard.
Don't worry, the Universe is cyclic in nature, so our current predicament won't last.
Just wait till I invent time travel, I'm going to go back and demand Miss Powers make me a sandwich, and then go forward and get next weeks lottery results for you. Multiververse Therory be damned.
