Sensual Smoking (Linzi Dixon) - A Review

Part One - The Author
Linzi Dixon is a writer of smoking fetish fiction who is still active on Amazon as of 2024. They have published a number of collections of short stories and longer works covering traditional smoking fetish themes along with stories mixing this fetish with other fetishes. Smoking/Intoxication Fetish author Bazzle has indicted that they have co-operated with the author in the past. (1)(2)
Part Two - Sensual Smoking (Anthology)
The collections opening story, is a slice of urban decadence, while the story is effective in what it does, it's not as interesting as the two that follow it. The second story is of the 'empowerment by cigarettes' type, with the mousy protagonist re-inventing herself thanks to the gift of a stranger. It's a nicely written piece with both danger and a touch of irony towards the end.
The last story as the title suggests, sees the act of sharing the habit not only acting as comfort, but as the glue that binds someone who's hit rock bottom and a friend who's trying to encourage them to begin again.
As with the other two collections by this author I've read I have no problems in recommending it.

Notes:
1. Reviews of the 2016 anthologies, 'Stuck With My Cigarettes' and 'Friends With Benefits' have been written, the review for the former can be found in the 13th volume of the Consolidated Smoking Fetish Fiction Review, the latter will be published in the forthcoming 28th volume of that series.
2. The story, 'Angela: Her Backstory' which appears in the 71st volume of the Noble Leaf Library and which was reviewed in the 2nd volume of the Consolidated Smoking Fetish Fiction Review, acts as a prequel to the first story in the collection under review.
