Exactly my point, it also has other effects, the scene in 'How Could She Say No" where Patti confronts her step-daughter Megan because she suspects Megan has started smoking is no longer possible, even if that scene and what follows is chaste compared with what the same author did in the 'revelation scene' in their later story 'Cigarette Fairy'.

The former I have no problem with, the latter is objectionable.

However the wowsers in charge of the internet have all the subtlety of a brick and cannot see the difference.
