I've never bothered with Literotica but I'm curious how consistent their standards are. Would a sip of alcohol or a toke of pot by a 17-year-old be grounds for censorship as well? And now that the goalposts for childhood keep shifting from 17 to 20, is a 20-year-old smoking a cigarette deemed disqualifying too?

This isn't just limited to the smoking fetish. The origins for nearly every fetish are established in adolescence. By refusing to let people articulate that in fiction due to puritanism, there's no point in ever writing just about any fetish fiction worth the bandwidth that it occupies. The artificial conflation of coming-of-age fiction with kiddie porn is the biggest, and most unsavory, change I've experienced in the smoking fetish community over the course of the quarter century I've been immersed in it.
