Smoker's Paradise (Series) (Chain Dragon) - A Review

Part One - The Author

This is yet another 'Loring era' author about which little is known, they submitted two stories to Loring in 2008 and may have published other stories via other websites such as the defunct ASSTR.org website if memory serves me.

Part Two - The Smoker's Paradise Series

The two known stories that make up the 'Smoker's Paradise' series(1) were posted on Loring's website on the 4th and 27th of January 2008 respectively. Subsequently they were republished in volumes 33 and 34 of the Noble Leaf Library. The two stories cover the smoking and sexual adventures of Shawna and Nikki, students at Paradise University, located on Paradise Island, a location where in the authors words "...where attitudes about smoking, drinking, nudity, and sex are much more liberal than those in the default world."

Part Three - Comments

The title of the second story 'Cigarettes and Exhibitionism' really sums up the entire series. The author was clearly aiming for the lowest common denominator with these stories. That more could have been done with a setting of this type can be seen by ET's 'The Smoking Sorority'(2), Bazzle's 'A Death In Smoking Paradise'(3) or Academic Fun 5674's 'Jess's Last Run'(4), instead the reader is treated to graphic sex scenes supported by the barest of plots.

Not recomended.
