Hooking Carmen (Alphasmoker) - A Review
Part One - The Author
The author is active on the Smoking Fetish Kingdom forum.
Part Two - Hooking Carmen
The story was first published to the Smoking Fetish Kingdom forum on February 25th, 2025. It was then republished in Vol. 143 of the Noble Leaf Library. The plotline of the story is straightforward, the unnamed narrator, a male smoker with the smoking fetish seduces Carmen, a woman he met on holiday into taking up the habit.
Part Three - Comments
This is a simple and straightforward tale, one good point is seen right away in the authors notes where he states clearly that this story is not going to be full of overdetailed descriptions of sex acts. Another is that it's clear that the relationship between the unnamed narrator and Carmen is based on mutual attraction. This is something that is emphasised by the scene towards the end of the story where Carmen realises too late what's been going on. This scene also offsets to an extent the moral dubiousness of the entire scenario.
I've described in some earlier reviews the issues surrounding an over tight focus on the main characters in this case the author does it just right, for much of the story the narrator and Carmen are away from their usual haunts thus being surrounded by unnamed characters makes sense. The only named character other than Carmen is Annalise described as Carmen's best friend and the person who tries to get Carmen to quit before it's too late. At stories end the narrator throws out a hint that the next story will be built around getting Annalise to smoke.
The author in their introductory note also hints that they are widely read in the fetish community, one specific reference can be found early in the story when the narrator is teaching Carmen to smoke, the comments made on how she holds the cigarette and the steps taken to correct it remind this reviewer of the scene in An4's 'Old Friends'(1) where Elisa corrects the way that Sarah holds her cigarette commenting, "How you hold the cigarette is almost as
important as how you smoke it."
If this is indeed the authors first piece of smoking fetish fiction they've done a very good job in writing it. I have no problems in recommending it and look forward to the authors next story when it appears.
