I was a bit delinquent in my updates this year, but here is the final set for 2025. Dispatch is the star of the show for this set, but there are a few other titles that are notable for at least including female smoking.

I begin to get the impression that the current anti-smoking attitude of society has ironically made smoking more powerful as a literary device, such as to establish a character's rebellious attitude, or to create a retro tone for stories set in decades past, as can be seen in the last two entries here.

Dispatch

Dispatch is an interactive Visual Novel about managing a team of supervillains-turned-heroes. One member, Invisigal, is a smoker. She is described as the "Hot Topic" member of the team, in reference to her style of dress, and smokes despite having asthma. There is an extended animated scene of her having a cigarette on a playground swing, as well as scenes of her smoking in a bar and at various other times.

Tobacco Shop Simulator (One That Got Away due to lack of smoking)

You'd think that a game about running a tobacco shop would include at least some instances of smoking, but alas, it does not. This game appears to have been developed with generally low effort, so I suspect the lack of smoking is simply due to the developers not bothering to include it.

Flesh Made Fear

Flesh Made Fear is a third-person, retro-style Survival Horror game, inspired by the Resident Evil series. One of the female NPC squadmates, Katya "Viper" Sokolva, smokes a cigarette in the van during the opening cutscene.

Neon Inferno

Neon Inferno is a retro-style 2D side-scroller shooter. The female player character, Mariana Vitti, smokes a cigarette in the opening cutscene with some nice pixel art, apparently to symbolize her "seeking salvation in the material".
