I have viewed some YT videos about the positive effects of smoking, and smoking addiction.
Nicotine has an incredibly complex effect on the mind and body. For many, if not most, of the smokers I know, they completely love the what it brings. They even don't mind being hooked on it.
Nicotine by itself is relatively harmless, and enjoyable.
The issue is, the collateral damage from smoking and vaping. Smoking and vaping allows very rapid uptake of nicotine. Smoking has other chemicals and tar that can cause lung damage. Some vapes are harmless, others cause "popcorn lung" where the lung tissues are coated with a film that precents oxygen uptake. It was first identified in workers in microwave popcorn factories, where diacetyl flavoring mist found in the air was inhaled and coated their lungs, causing damage and scarring.
The need is for an inexpensive, harmless way for people to enjoy nicotine.
