Subject: NSC 152 is running late, and I'm sorry about that.

I'm going back to my old machine to do this from now on.

152 will be done when it's done.

153 has one story in it so far, hopefully I'll have that full before the end of the year.

And folks, if you're going to use images in your stories, do so sparingly. I've had days of trouble with one particular image-laden story, and I'm quite over it.

I'm honestly starting to doubt if it's worth the time and effort to continue with this. I used to enjoy it, and I worked hard, achieved a lot, but now it feels like a chore.

With only a handful of actual people writing these days, and actually completing stuff, I spend most of my time waiting for something that may likely never come. Most actual writers have moved on. Most have moved to other platforms, the cesspool of Literotica, or Retardville (Reddit), there's that other fiction site that has popped up, most of which is AI slop, some of which is now behind a paywall, and then there's SFK, that particular open sewer, and I still find some good stuff there by some actual human authors, but even that is scant. The rest, are perverse, and I honestly can't be bothered keeping track of it all.

I'm tired, frustrated and jaded.

I'm going to have a cup of tea, a shower, and hit the sack.

I'll still be here for you lot though, I won't walk away, but I won't be as present.

Together, we've built something great, and I'm a little bit proud of that, and of everyone that has contributed.

I figured it'd end some day, but I didn't think it would be like this, community apathy and drowning in AI slop. I figured it'd end when I dropped off the perch. I guess I should prepare for that.

I'm sorry.
