This news story which features a former smoker mother and a vaper daughter who's apparently she'd start smoking (The story mentions she's claimed to already be experimenting with the habit.) if they ban single use vapes has definite possibilities for the basis of a plot.

As far as I know only Keith and BlackLungLover made use of the vaping to smoking transition and neither to my knowledge made use of the possible plot in this one, daughter transitions to smoker and brings her mother back into the habit...
