Subject: Agree, our TC whilst not making it a rule, advises all dancers to get a new dress every year so they can get a higher resale price on the "old" dress. Dresses are being sold and still look brand new. It's crazy.
In reply to: Buy used PSA 's message, "There are SO many dresses for sale right now. Just a crazy amount. I've seen some beautiful dresses for sale that are still for sale months later and I can't imagine why (priced well) except that there are so many." on 12:32:17 11/16/17 Thu

  • I agree! I've been following used dress sites for years since I help with costuming for our school. I've never seen this many "new" dresses for sale. It's a buyers' market. We've had so many families have troubles with brand new dresses getting delivered late, not fitting, etc. I really recommend buying a used, "nearly new" dress to most of our dancers. We do that (my dd is OC), can pick something very modern but not cookie-cutter, get better fit, and don't wait for months hoping a dress arrives in time for a major.
