Subject: Our TC strongly discourages it. We have one dancer at our school that has perfect feet, and is absolutely tiny, but the skin-tight black shows off her arms, which always look wide, mostly because she is so small, but not noticeable in a costume. I vote for costumes any day of the week, and just simplify the hair, makeup and tanner unless it's a major.
In reply to: ID Mom 's message, "I am noticing a lot of black (no costumes) the last few feis. More than usual. It may be the time of year. But could this be because it is soooo much easier to get ready with no wig and dress? Pretend to be between dresses???" on 09:55:51 09/22/18 Sat

  • How far could a dancer get wearing just black? As an adult, I just don't buy into the pageant look, but am competing in champs now and wonder where my future could be if I sell my TaT dress and compete in black. (NT) -- Any idea?, 06:52:16 09/24/18 Mon
