Subject: Topping the ball

I'm certainly not a pro or an expert on NG. From my experience I would say 1st thing to do is go back to the tapes from the NG kit LTBG. At 1st I tended to do that very same thing. I learned to go down thru the ball by moving from my right hip to the left side and be sure to bend the knee of your left leg a couple of inches, that being of course only if you are a right handed player. I do stress the importance of revewing the tapes and being patient with the learning process. I tried to go simply by what I have heard from others who thought they new the NG swing and gave me well intentioned errant advice. Trust the experts who may not have the perfect Moe Norman swing but who certainly have the essence of his swing to teach others.
Good Luck
