I too spent months frustrated at topping the ball; I tried everything, even the CI could not pick it out. For me it turned out to be a subtle raising of my body (head) with my new NG backswing. Later I learned to move left with a left knee bend which lowered the swing. Check to make sure your head is not raising on the backswing
