My question remains, how can I
>effectivly learn the swing if the lie angle of my
>current clubs do not allow me to position the club
>parallel to my right arm at address?

I understand your question and there are others more adapt at club making that can help. Here is my story. I saw LOB
infomerical on TV, checked web site and found out about upcoming segiment on golf channel. Watched/recorded. Tried
out with standard off the shelf King Cobra II irons, and yes, at address they appear to be toe down. Started hitting. Little to no success with irons, improvements with 5W. Bought LOB and continued (attempted) to learn from golf channel show and LOB. Thought I understood but did not. Taped additional golf channel NG/Moe shows. Wanted to get several lessions, 1 a month for 4 months from Kirk Junge often listed on this board. Took new job, had 1 lession. Began to hit irons Ok and top all woods. Thought I understood and took video camera to range. Was NOT doing anything that I thought I was. Began to re-work from LOB and ALL Golf Channel NG/Moe shows. Began club search with many fittings. Would up needing 1 degree flat. Bought Adams GT irons. Time frame 2 yrs.

Bottom line, line up with your clubs as is and you will most likely see improvement if you are getting the swing down. Length and lie have nothing to do with the swing itself and everything to do with ball flight. Video yourself, it doesn't lie. Once you are hitting consistently then check out clubs. Remember consistently could be a fade/draw or a flight path that could indicate lie problems.

One last item. At the lession that I did manage to get in, the NGCI took my off the self, regular shaft, standard lie, offset KC II 9 iron and crushed the ball, dead straight, higher and farther than it had ever sent a ball before.
He did this with his first hit and each one after. NO adjustment period. The point; you should see improvement with what you have.

My current clubs
