Craig, The advice of learning the swing first is sound and I have read that same advice several times before on this board. My question remains, how can I effectivly learn the swing if the lie angle of my current clubs do not allow me to position the club parallel to my right arm at address? My current clubs are only a few years old and I would rather make adjustments to them instead of buying new clubs. My clubs are due to be regripped and here are my current thoughts. Purchase a new set of NG grips and receive the demo club. Practice the swing with the demo club in my basement during the winter. Take the new grips, demo club and current clubs to a club fitter and have my clubs adjusted (length and lie angle) and have the new grips put on. I would be glad to hear how you learned the NG swing without making lie angle adjustments. Unless I get to Florida this winter, it will be impossible to attend a demo day or class. I live in Michigan and winter is approaching fast. Also, as far as I can tell, the nearest instructional school is a three hour drive for me. Please comment.
