Don't think there is a problem. Went to:
http://www.silvershot.com/swingweightcalc.htm

Given a raw 41" shaft at 80 grams (average) the swingweight will come to D3 with a 39.25" 5 iron (norm is 38"). This is perfect IMO - just enough swingweight to feel the head yet the total weight is down with the graphite. Adding length increases the swingweight but the grips are a little heavier which brings the swingweight down to what I consider a perfect swingweight. They will play 2.5° upright over their original lie, another nice feature as most players fall in the 2-4° range that most require for SA.

I will use weights to keep the clubs all balanced the same or within .5 tolerance of the goal weight.

I have placed BGG grips on many clubs and don't feel you will have a problem slipping them on unless you are using a fat shaft out of the norm of .600 ..... good luck and enjoy.
