Subject: The Tray Position

Quite a while ago on this forum there was an extensive discussion about the top of the backswing being referred to as the "tray" postion. Back then I never really understood what that meant.

Recently, however, I have noticed when I keep my back arm close to my side and straight up as if I was holding a tray as a waiter would, and have this position be the top of my backswing, then straighten my arm on the downswing, good things happen. Actually, at least for me,this has simplified matters.

Anyone else familiar with this terminology. I believe Remington was an active participant in the previous "tray" discussions.
