Jerry, why respond with an expletive (in the subject line, no less!) just because I half disagree with you?

As a matter of fact our only disagreement is that I said that fitted clubs make 5-10% difference while you said 25%. Is that enough of a difference to adopt profanity and a combative tone? I think not.

Fitted clubs are better, no doubt, but they are absolutely not necessary. If they were all the Edwin Watts, Nevada Bob's, Golfsmith's, course pro shops, etc. of the world wouldn't be full of in-stock clubs. Also all of those retail shops would hard-sell club-fitting because they could make a bundle of off it.

No, in reality club fitting is an art that can improve already accomplished golfers, it is of marginal help to beginners, assuming that the stock clubs are of a reasonable size for the individual golfer.

Please don't cuss at me anymore, it's just not cool, this is just a game that we're discussing.
