Actually, I tried this yesterday.(I practiced without a ball in yard for several days). Feels a little different at first but I never missed a fairway (played nine holes)and I actually gained about 10 yards per drive. I did seem to tend to hit my irons a little to the left, but that is probably me stepping "in the bucket" as I tend to do. I am going to stay with it for a while, so far I like it. It helps me keep my left arm straighter. You must keep your eye on the ball, but you should be doing that anyway!!
