No argument there. When he made that comment I understood it to mean a mental perception and feel rather than a physical fact of hands only. When I tried it, my focus certainly was on the hand moving up and down - but always using my arms and shoulders and upper back as the energy source. Otherwise the swing would degenerate as you so aptly described it into a "loosey goosey wrists" with a very mediocre end result. Sorry about my lack of precision on the first post. The golf swing at times seems so much a question of feel and perception (at least to me) that I understate or ignore the physical side of it as being a "given".
