There is difference. Wealth accumulation for the common good was the basis of our civilisation and which has preserved them for thousands and thousands of years. Our way of life emulates the the inticate web of life in nature.

Once the above system is destroyed, as for example by emulation of the cash economy, which focusses on individual excellence, then we have the prerequisite conditions for the destruction of a society of a whole way of life.

One is individualistic, the ther is communal. Yes there is a difference.
