Good Luck to Coach Dawley and Vermont Women's Hoops. Her total of 19 years at her last two schools is impressive and means she's not a wanderer (That of course can be viewed two ways). Hopefully she will do a great job for the Catamounts.

I know Sharon and think she is a great person. She had a great college career I believe at St. Anselm's and is from the greater Boston area. Why did UVM not hire Chris Wielgus her boss instead of her? I was hoping Vermont would go after a big name head coach or assistant or possibly a coach with Vermont roots say like USM's Gary Eifield or Noreen Porsek (I think that's her last name, Brennan's sister down at Middlebury who has years of head coaching experience at a find academic institution and played for Virginia Tech.) I hope Sharon does an a terrific job. One other thought is maybe, the new ad and president want to shift the attention from women's hoops back over to men's hoops for the first time in the history of UVM. Men's basketball generates alot more money and national exposure, especially with Tom Brennan as the coach. Men's basketball is on the rise at UVM. Women's basketball losing Morgan Hall and Dawn Cressman could be in a rebuilding stage. I am sure Tom Brennan and company are chalking this up as a win for them in terms of not having to compete with a big name women's coach for noterity.
