Subject: Torrey Thomas
In today's Stamford Advocate it says that Torrey is down to Hartford,Siena,Loyola(MD),and Canisius.
He would be an excellent defensive replacement for McClinton as he excels on the defensive end of the court.He has also improved his offensive side tremendously the past 2 seasons.A freshman PG next season will get a lot of playing time at Hartford as there will likely be a rotation at guard o Cook,Stys and whoever the freshman PG is.San has seemingly buried himself on the bench.If the backcourt proves to be deficient Jerryl Parker will move to the 2G at times next year.

Thought I read in Saturday’s Hartford Courant that Torrey signed with Holy Cross. To me, that affirmatively answers the question whether he would have been a good pickup for Hartford. And if he can play for HC then he could play for Siena (IMHO).

Torrey can play...and the Siena faithful were a little miffed that they lost him. He would have been an outstanding pickup for Hartford.

The only problem with this new format is that I occasionally read a Czar post by mistake. I see he hasn't changed his "that kid can't play" tune.

As an Albany fan I hope those bums at Siena get Thomas because he can't play for them. Loyola would finish last in the AE, and Canisius doesn't need a pg to play much next year.
Hartford could do better than Thomas. As of two weeks ago all he had was Lafayette and Robert Morris so I guess schools are scrambling as the signing period approaches!

Czar...have you ever seen Thomas play? I have seen him about 30 times in his 4 years here and would gladly take him at Hartford.

Torrey Thomas was at the Manhattan vs Siena game at the Pepsi Arens last night.

I'm sorry for posting misinformation. I made one of the cardinal mistakes in life, listening to a Siena fan, without verifying information for myself. Torrey Thomas was not at the Siena - Manhattan game last week.
By the way, one of the ways Siena got the attendance they did last week was they opened the upper level of the Pepsi Arena and sold the tickets for $2.50.
