By 'us' I meant I-AA football in the northeastern U.S. Not only the CAA, but schools being forced out of I-A due to the new attendance and budget requirements that start in 2004 may cause all kinds of conference movement.

I'd guess, since the contract was just signed last year, that Albany will stay in the NEC for at least two years before declaring intent to exceed its 30-schol limit; that would probably mean not eligible for conf. title the third year. I don't know if there's a penalty for leaving early.

I have no idea what Stony Brook is doing. Unless they have a secret source of funding, they'll probably do something similar.
