For those of us who are celebrating Passover this week, it beckons the question...

Why is this day different from any other day?? (The AE falling asleep at the wheel).

Heck, I work a few blocks from the AE office and I called this morning to ask them the same thing, and they said to me "we're in the process of doing 'web site maintenance'."

ugh...

What are you people talking about? The standings are updated.

Get a grip. There are like 10 AE baseball fans. Basketball was updated on a nightly basis, but that is a little more important.

Maybe for a one track fan like yourself. The AE has solid baseball teams. Thats the problem w/ this league...we put TOO MUCH stock in simply basketball. There are solid teams in all sports that can give any conference a run for their money.

don't defend them for not doing their job. it is a simple task that isn't getting completed. Credibility is an issue for an office like that.

What do you want, minute-by-minute updates? I went on the AE website this morning and the standings were updated through yesterday. Put it in perspective, 6-8 years ago you probably got the standings once a week in the paper if you were lucky. Now fans are so spoiled that if a website isn't updated seconds after the game people piss and moan. It used to be you had to wait to get the paper the next day to get a score.

keep talking, cause you haven't sold me yet. Hello, we are in an information technology world these days!!!!! Adjust with the times and stop being an old fart. Go back to the 1980s.

As someone who had web duties thrust upon him in addition to other duties a few years ago, I can sympathize with the AE people not having it updated to the minute. Imagine having a full list of responsibilities PRIOR to the introduction of the web, then having that monster ADDED on without any additional help.

The web is a black hole that can suck you up if you let it. There will always be something to update, to clean up. You could work 24 hours a day and still not satisfy all the visitors.

I agree with Animal - we are all spoiled. But I expect far more from an ESPN site (with its dozens of full-time editors)than I do from the AE site that has 2-3 contributors.

But as usual on this site, there is no mercy toward any AE folks. The bitterness has gotten so ridiculous.

What exactly then do these guys get paid to do. We have a shitty sponser, shitty tournaments and a shitty updated website. R they eating ricecakes down there and working out at the BSC? I mean come on now...this isnt difficult work. They have what...7 fulltime staffers plus interns. Lets once again, not be apologists for the simple lack of work ethic on their part.

I know more about America East and its athletic programs, and I live in San Diego and don't have a degree in athletic administration. Those America East staffers are buffoons.

If we go to a registration format board, we'll be deprived of these comical posts.
