Gabe groans and flops backwards on the bed. "Lian, it's Teresa's job to make people angry at her."
"I know, I know." Lian hugs her knees to herself and leans her head to the right. "I probably shouldn't have pressed the matter further..."
Gabe acknowledges this with an affirmative grunt. It's bad enough that Irvine's been flirting with her, but now she's starting to go completely out of character. The pressure of actually being in another world is most likely getting to all of them, he reasons, and wonders if Lian's feeling all right.
However, she's been partnered with him long enough to figure out the things that bother him. And she can tell, now that there are few distractions, that despite what he might say, he is jealous. And when the agent with the most field experience gets jealous and it's obvious, there's something bugging him. Way more than expected.
Involuntarily, Lian blushes and forces herself to stop thinking about it. Now is not the time, and most certainly not the place. She just wants to go home. "Cloud," she ventures, "why does Vincent get like that? I haven't seen him smile or anything... since Teresa crashed into that wall."

Teresa nearly chokes in the shower and puts a hand out to steady herself. "Good Lord! Stay outta here! It may be early but I can still read!" She pulls her hair off of her shoulders. "I'm sure the signs said your shower was the other way!" she calls back.
Not used to having people interrupt her showers (except occasionally her grandmother, when hairspray was needed, but she wouldn't think about her grandmother now, she'd only get upset), she forces herself to calm down and resume her shower, slightly grinning. That man is a born charmer. Probably Gabe could take a lesson from him. Then, breaking her promise to herself, she begins to wonder how her family is.
