Irvine shrugs - you win some, you lose some - and heads back to finish his shower. The soap is coarser than the type his skin had gotten used to back in Washington and he winces when he first brings it across his chest. Then he sighs and goes at it again, more gently this time.

His thoughts drift the soap smells better here with the steam rising from the water everything smells better here pouring down over him, i bet the flowers are orgasmic and without him even realizing it, i wonder if there are gardens here Irvine beings to smile.

By the time he steps back into the bedroom, towel-clad, he realizes his smile has slackened and reduced itself to a grin that could be classified as either sardonic or ironic. Irvine wasn't sure which. But he was sure that whatever anyone called it, the word would end in -onic.

He drops the towel on the bed and stands in his boxers again for a moment, then pulls on his clothing. He looks decidedly more awake as his gaze - sharp, and almost mocking - sweeps the room. He seems completely unaware of any tension that may or may not have been present after Cloud's last comment. And if any did exist, he offered it a convenient escape by changing the subject once he opened his mouth.

"Where to now? Breakfast?"
