Teresa blinks. "And I thought I was unprepared to spend money here." Then again, Spikes actually HAS money to spend here. Not a lot, granted, but... Teresa looks through the menu through half-lidded eyes. She's not a morning person and never will be. I don't even recognize half the food here... I'll just take my coffee, thanks. "Sooo... What's the weather usually like here?"
Lian, on the other hand, while not exactly perky and peppy, seems far more suited to breakfast. She's looking forward to her tea; while that's not exactly a big step in cheering her, at least she's looking forward to something. I just hope it's normal tea. She glances up at Irvine, just for something to do, then shakes her head and looks back down at her plate. For some reason, she's beginning to wish Gabe would drop the commando act and just... loosen up.
But that doesn't seem likely to happen. Gabe doesn't seem to want food; the coffee will do fine. And he's sitting, arms crossed, and watching the room steadily. "Loosen up" probably isn't even in his vocabulary, and won't be until he gets home.
And even then, the outlook isn't so good.
