I wouldn't take it as a double standard. The girls commonly have a strong maternal instinct and when they use to bathe their younger siblings they just take and play a babysitting role and not just want to see an opposite sex child naked. On the other hand, girls are naturally much more bashful about their nudity than the boys are.
I love it when my dd takes her younger sister to help her bathing their cousins. They are so adorable!!! Yesterday it was 5(!) boys ranging from 3 to 10, splashing all around the bathroom and 3 girls, 12, 10 and 7 trying to give them a scrub down. Lol))))
