The pregnancy of his wife is unlikely, although not impossible. Both Tommy Allsup and Waylon Jennings knew nothing about it, and it was only ever mentioned from the late '70's as far as I know. Personally, I don't think it's true, due to the timelines involved. Roddy might know more?

There was speculation that Buddy sired a child before he became famous. Niki Sullivan talks about it in Phillip Norman's TV documentry "Not Fade Away" (look for it on Youtube). Again, only speculation, but Niki did hint heavily that he believed it to be Buddy's child. I have no reason to doubt Niki, but it is possible his belief of who the father was could be incorrect.

I don't think we'll ever know. I know that Eddie Cochran fathered two illegitate children (two girls to two different women, on different sides of America), which Bobby Cochran revealed in his book on Eddie. DNA tests revealed a 99% liklihood of the two women being half-sisters by the same father. Eddie didn't know of these children, although their mothers did. It could well be a similar thing with Buddy. There may even be children of his out there that neither he or us will ever know about.
