I have always been a big fan of the Shadows both instrumental and vocal.

They were of course, originally the back up band for Cliff Richard then under the name of The Drifters. They changed to the Shadows (Shads) after they leaned that the US already had a band by that name.

Their list of hits is quite unbelievable ranging right up to the late 1970' from the original one in 1959. By the way 'Apache' was not their first release.

My favourite recording is 'Wonderful Land' but my favourite live performance is 'F.B.I.'.
