Spanking is very much in the "rear view mirror" in our home, with one daughter nearly 21 and in college, the other 17. However, my interest in the subject is still growing as I have seen hints (clear public mentions of it by other parents who were total strangers) of it in public over the past six months or so. While I absolutely HATED doing it, I still firmly believe spanking has its place, and the sting of a proper spanking is important. However, I also view it as the ultimate end to a disciplinary process (including alone/corner time, and clearly communicating why it is happening).
