"S'sha's taking care of an incident that occurred near Herder Hall. She should be back soon enough. If I see her I will let her know you seek her aid." He pauses, it had seemed the time to continue with training and learn to go between... but he figured the Weyrlings could wait a few more minutes. Cupping his hands around his mouth he shouts, "Stop your flaming... or exchanging of firelizards as the case may be... We learn to go between after I help this 'Rider. Get yourselves into an inverted V formation, check your straps, and mount your dragons... I'll be with you shortly."
He then turns back to Arashi, "Is there anything I can do to help you?"
Kuvoth however heads over to Kalya and golden Layath, dropping gently from one claw a loaded flamethrower. His eyes swirl a gentle explanitory blue as he speaks with the Queen, D'tir and I completely understand that your duties as Junior Weyrwoman forced you to miss firestone training... or in your case, the art of flamethrowing. However, we ask that you take this flamethrower and speak to the Weyrwoman about a lesson in using it. Myself, being a fighting dragon, and D'tir being my rider, are unfit to teach you and your rider the best way to use the weapon. However, as we know S'sha well, we are sure she will not mind giving you one short lesson. From then on you are free to come back and try your skills with the rest of the weyrlings from your clutch. Now however, we are going to learn to go between, so if you could join everyone else in the inverted V, my rider and I would appreciate it. Please share what I have said with your rider Layath, and good luck, you are doing well.

Angele had returned again from the baths- now actually clean, Eirath freshly oiled (although it had been aalot of work and she was glad she hadn't a gold because she would have been there for YEARS....) and each little firelizard with thier own, proud shining coats as well.
She grinned, twirling around. "Looooooooooooooook at meeeeeeeee! I'm cleeeeaaaaann! Geh!" she grinned, obviously amused- there wasn't even any dirt under her fingernails, and that, too her, was a MAJOR breakthrough.
She had not seen her cousin (or any of her closer friends, for that matter) and she actually sort of missed tem- not that she would ever admit it.
She was hungry, and pulled out an assortment of snacks- biscits, dried fruits, and crackers (a food her friend Konni had taught her to love) and ate them, from time to time offering them to her shy, gentle green- a starnge contrast from his fiery, wild mother.
Chaos and Rage lay off to the side, both asleep, Hope asleep as well, but curled around her mistresses neck like a collar- but not one that Angele minded, of course.
"I WANT TO DO STUFF!"she yelled suddenyl, not angrily, more, talking loudly; a statement. She was bored, restless, and, truth be known, she wanted to do something. After all, she wasn't just one to sit around.
She looked around, wondering if anyone had heard her outburst and absently, she started giggling...

After getting the message from Layath, Kadoth rolls his polychrome eyes expressively. D'you know how hard it will be to get anything through that thick skull? I can try, but now it's firestone time. The bronze watches Wrelth flame out again and decides he needs to try it once more, for a better effect. He checks that the area is clear before breathing out his own nice flame. A'rak claps and then turns competitively to Channa, a playful grin bright on his face.
"Let's see you two top that one!" He plants his hands on his hips with a big wink. "Think you're so great, you and that blue of yours!" Kadoth rolls his eyes again and grumbles to Wrelth.
You can ignore him, if you want. We're convinced he's half wherry, at least.

*The WeyrlingMaster dismounts and gives the weyrlings ready to train a quick signal that he'd be over in a moment. But for now he pauses by the bed of A'rak, and gently places the bedfur over his sleeping form. Then he turns and heads back over to the waiting weyrlings, grabbing a sack of firestone along the way. Dark rings under his eyes indicate that he is running on a severe lack of sleep but nonetheless, pride in the weyrlings, and klah of course, are keeping him awake. He grins at each of them before speaking, "I am so incredibly proud of you for your work during the Fall. You all listened to orders, and didn't complain once about having to bag the firestone. And those of you who delivered it to the riders above were wonderfully careful to avoid the Thread!" *he pauses a moment to lean back against the bulk of brown dragon behind him and continues* "Well, since you all worked very hard yesterday, I'm exausted, and some of us aren't here yet... lets restart training with something simple... The use of firestone." D'tir clears his throat, pulls a large piece of igneous rock from the sack, and then continues, "Since firestone is the base behind a dragons flame, choosing good firestone is important. Good quality firestone is completely black in color, and should have a somewhat dusty rough texture to it. This piece here is reasonably good, however... it should be about half this size before you give it to your dragon... The worst thing you could do would be to give your dragon a piece of firestone and have him or her choke on it mid-air." *D'tir takes a moment and smashes the soft firestone against a harder rock, splitting it in two.* "There we go. Now, when you give firestone to your dragon, you have to make sure that they focus on it going to their other stomach... so long as they focus on it, their bodies instinct will make sure the firestone gets to the right place. Also, only give your dragon one piece at a time as we start out, later on we can move up to more." *Kuvoth leans over and D'tir gives him about ten pieces of firestone, one at a time, then he continues* "Once your dragon has consumed the rock, wait a few minutes and then have your dragon belch. Flame should and most likely will come out so PLEASE, I urge you riders? Stay out of your dragons way... and Dragons? Please make sure the coast is clear before you flame... and, I'd like you all to try and flame the rock walls over there." *he points towards a hard, previously "practice-scorched" section of the area they stood in* "Now, Kuvoth will demonstrate." The large brown wearily made his way over to the wall, and, in an exaggurated gesture of looking left and right before flaming, gave forth a mighty roar that sent huge flames raging forth from his mouth. He did this two more times, before the small amount of firestone he'd been given was used, and he regurgitated the ash politely in a secluded corner of the area before heading back. "Alright, now everyone is to give their dragon ten pieces of firestone, and then you and your dragon are to go flame against the wall. Please spread out and dont forget that your dragon will need to regurgitate the leftover ash after flaming... there is a corner for this, with a nice pit..." *and he tilts his head to where Kuvoth had done the deed* "Ready? Go ahead and start!" D'tir now returns to his dragon and leans against him, waiting and watching the weyrlings attempts, ready to help if necessary.*

Flying in from the Perches, Kadoth gleams softly with his oiling, landing with a gentle thud. Sliding off him and all but landing in a pool at the bronze's talons, A'rak staggers to his weyr, quickly and gratefully showering before exchanging his filthy clothes for fresh ones. Lowering onto a dragon couch, Kadoth prepares himself for a nap. "Kadoth! We still have more training to go, it's not nap time!"
I'm tired, and you are too. We need rest or no one gets more training. I'll be awake soon enough. And you need your beauty sleep.
"I thought I was ravishing already." A'rak mutters, heading for his bed. Without bothering to slither under the covers, he curls up and is out almost immediately, sleeping gratefully. Kadoth's even breathing tells the story of easy rest as the two sleep off the exhaustion of Threadfall and anticipate more training.

Angele grinned, returning. Her face was dirty, her hair and clothes dirtier, and her dragon dirtiest of all. But both were happy, and proud of themselves.
Behind her Angele nearly dragged the unsusp[ecting C'rin, who probably would have stayed there in the Foothills had she not taken drastic measures and taken him back.
"Heyyas, everybody! Miss me?" Angele grinned, letting go of C'rin, who emediately returned to Tuath's side, dusting his arm's off (which Angele's dirty handprints were left), whilst Angele looked after her fare of firelizards.
Fear, the newest (and LAST) addition, the tawny blue, was busy sleeping between Eirath's neck ridges. Rage, as usual, was spitting an argument with her brother, who wasn't really doing much but giving his sister a blank stare, and Hope curled around Angele's shoulders, her gold hide glimmering.
Angele smiled at the other Weyrlings, then to the Weyreling Master. "Hey! I'm ready for more training!"

Tuath was just as surprised as his rider when the blue haired girl had just 'come out of nowhere' and grabbed C'rin's arm, alnmost dragging him back to the Barracks.
Her reason, althugh he had not spoken back (as usual) was, "I'm not leaving you here for Kiki to fondle over. She has her eyes on every single Weyrling on two legs nowadays!"
So, he had been dragged back, Tuath following amused, with the brown Dilandau just above his eyeridge, equally amused.
After returning, he emmediately found his way back over to Tuath, and quietly dusted hmself off.
- You should thank her, you know. You probably would have stayed alot longer.- Tuath mused, jokingly.
Maybe. I's still a little surprised...are all blueriders that...spunky?
Tuath gave a draconinc chuckle, shaking his head. -Maybe. Blueriders match thier dragons. I'd say eirath felt 'attracted' to her because both were into the arts, I guess. I don't know.-
C'rin looked into his dragon's eyes, a deep fondness showing from inside them. What made you choose me?
Honestly? Your gentleness and quiet nature. You were the whitest candidate there, the quietest and definately, I'd say, gentlest. I knew you were mine from wthe moment I first saw you, C'rin. That's how I knew.
C'rin gave his dragon a pat, and turned to the Weyrling Master, ready for instruction.

Flying in from the Road, Layath wearily settled down onto the ground, catching her breath for a second...or two. When the queen felt strong enough to rise, she did so. Kalya, meanwhile, had been snoring in the corner. She did, however, awake with a start when Layath awoke. Ready for the lessons to continue, love? Layath nodded her golden head. Very ready. I need to learn to go between and you need to learn to use a flamethrower. I'm tired of being untrained. Kalya nearly laughed at her dragon's exasperation, but thought it wiser not to do so. Now, we have been going through training. Threadfall just interrupted it. Layath nodded. Very well, but I hope it continues soon.

Now before you groan and say 'Oh no, we dont get to fight Thread,' Let me say that you are the most important aspect of Threadfall, without you there to bag and deliver firestone, the other riders couldn't flame it and Pern would be in ruins. So, together we fly directly to help battle the menace. Once we return I shall teach you the art of going between. Dont forget to check your tack before you fly everyone!" *He dismounts quickly as the weyrlings are doing thus and walks over to Evelene, giving her a quick hug he says,* "See you shortly love." *Then runs back over to the huge Kuvoth and leaps upon his back, with a shout and a roar rider and Brown are aloft and soaring away directly to Honshu* "FOLLOW ME IGEN WEYRLINGS! WE GO TO SAVE PERN!"

The large, gentle giant brown, and his rider needed a break. Not having taken one when they were offered, they decided to take one now. After all, they had completed pro-longed flight, which was good.
Now was for the next lesson, which C'rin coudn't help but feel a little intimidated, which was bad.
If he was in fact, correct, then the next thing they'd be doing would be to take a trip between, then after that, if he was again correct, they'd be gulping down firestone, then followed by sacking firestone for other, older riders, and then a training threadfall....
You're getting way too far ahead of yourself, C'rin. Tuath broke the thoughts gently, giving his ridert a ruefull draconic grin.
C'rin leaped off of his brown's back, realizing how much the dragon had grown (and how little he had, besides) and marveled. You're remarkable, Tuath.

The blue Dragon trumpets loudly, although having just been here days before he calls to his friend Jeneth an idea in mind. Lyra stops the blue in midair and turns to face her sister whom sat on her Dragon's neck ridges silently, two firelizards on her shoulders. Another pair of lizards sat on Danth's ridges.
"You want to do this?"
"I need action.." Was Raen's response ancompanyed by a grin.
Raen's lizards Green Cat and Bronze Sword chirped and entered the air lazily flying. Solia and Lunaur followed the two, Lunaur again looking healthy and fit.

"Alright everyone." His tone is clear, but still quiet. "Now we're going to try prolonged flight and turns." T'yin pats his dragon's neck affectionately. "Make sure your straps didn't stretch or come slightly undone. Check with your dragons to see if they still fit. Adjust if needed." He pauses, allowing the riders to do as instructed, before continuing. "Watch before you try." 'I wish D'tir would've outlined the lesson plan with me,' he mumbles to Viouth, who agrees. "You're going to take off, a few at a time to give everyone adequate space. See that marking?" He points to a marking about fifty feet high. "Don't fly higher than that. Stay in the air for as long as you can, then when your dragon feels stress in their wings, you should land. Don't stay up longer than ten minutes - endurance must be carefully built up." Again, T'yin pauses, then continues. "Once everyone has done that, then in the same order you're going to take off again and try some smooth, easy turns. It's instinct to your beast; the rider needs to get used to the rhythm, though. Again, don't stay up longer than ten minutes, but try to practice for at least five." Icy blue eyes sweep the gathered weyrlings. "I'll demonstrate." Fun. A smile tugging at his lips for his green's mere presence, the rider gives the command to rise, a punching motion to the sky. Viouth springs into the air, her wings snapping down in the all-important downsweep, propelling her higher. Remember that mark. She glides easily, wings steady but not locked out, before landing gracefully. From there, she launches herself again, T'yin leisurely hanging on, and does a few slow, gradual turns, her rider leaning to compensate. Then, the green settles back down to earth, and the young man nods. "Go ahead. Tell me if you have questions or trouble with your straps."

Cradling their new firelizards, Akema and T'gan enter the Barracks. Laffranth looks around. *I wonder where Eitrath is?*
"Yeah, and Angele," Akema adds.
"What?" T'gan asks, baffled.
"Laffranth wondered where Eirath is, and I was thinking of his rider. Hopefully we can find her."

Glancing around to make sure she isn't late or missing training, she and her dragon slink in, the softly luminous glow of Shrineth's eyes warming to her skin. Unsnagging her snatches of meatrolls and kitchen food, she lays it all out and grins. "Raided the tables, here. Thought everyone could use some. Come 'n get it. A'rak, I know you need some, you never remember to eat enough." Used to dealing with hungry siblings, she props an elbow on the gold's neck ridge and beams. "I thought since we have a break, I can teach Doe to take a letter." Hearing her name, the deep green flit cheeps softly and hops forward.
Want me to explain it to her? She's pretty smart.
"Could you, Shrineth?"
I would be happy to. Listen, little sister, take this note to....to...where? The slender muzzle pivots and the dragon's puzzlement makes her rider chuckle.
"To here." Shutting her eyes, she tries to invoke the sight of herd beasts and a mental picture of her father. "And if you get lost, you can come back to Shrineth, no problem!" Nodding, little Doe waits for the girl to write her note hastily. "For Dad. Go on, give it a go, Doe." Leaping into the air, the flit zaps between in search of her customer. Chuckling, Wessae turns to Shrineth, who's neck twisiting and obvious gestures toward oil make the girl conceal a smile. "While we're waiting, I suppose I could do you a good oil."
About time. Shrineth grins and rumbles her delight as the oil sloshes over her methodically.

As the Dragon becomes nearer toward the Weyr it is seen as a Southern Dragon, his rider astride. Danth, the Blue looked around, Lyra, I don't see 'm.

Jenna opens an eye and finds that just outside her weyr there seemed to be a large cluster of--- Training! She must have missed it, hurrying she awoke Ionath and searched for the riding straps; when finding them and putting them on the blue, only did she relax to tighten and retighten them to perfection. Then she looked around, They look right...Do they feel ok? She asked concerned, They feel fine. Ionath's reply was, quite calm. Jenna nodded, then caught a glimpse of someone dismounting and pointed at Ionath, Now you have to move that foot... No, closer, Wa--That's it.She said after she could use his extended leg to mount. Ionath remained quite calm, turning his head around to watch Jenna with interest. Jenna grinned and looked around, Now what? We wait? Ionath gave a mental shrug, I guess.

R'ven and Massath walk into the Barracks. ~Looks like lessons haven't started up again yet,~ Massath observes quietly, unable to keep the disappointment from her tone.
R'ven pats her on her neck. -That's all right, they'll start again soon. Want to go to our weyr?-
She shakes her head. ~No, let's stay here. Maybe someone will talk to us,~ she adds hopefully. She flops down by a cluster of large boulders. ~Look, seats!~
R'ven grins. -Quite a clever wit you have, dragonlady,- he tells her, sitting down on a boulder. Athena and Vey curl up in his lap. Kree, finding herself without anyplace to sit, lets out a musical complaint.
Massath looks at the little 'lizard. ~Come here, little one, and perch on me. Entertain me a bit with your singing.~ Kree trills happily and swoops over, landing on Massath's head. There she sits down and begins to croon softly in joy. Massath closes her eyes and listens with pleasure to the firelizard's beautiful, liquid song.
R'ven smiles. -You seem to like Kree more than the other two.-
~She is a green, like me,~ Massath replies. ~She has better manners than either of those two. She is smarter than Vey and sweeter than Athena. Becausae they are bigger, they get to boss her around. Besides, she has the most lovely voice, and an incredible willingness to sing for me.~
R'ven looks surprised for a moment, then nods slowly. -Good point. For some reason it never ocurred to me before that you liked music so much. But I really shouldn't be surprised. Beside, Kree does have a lovely voice.-

The two come in a bit late, managing to hear the last of D'tir's speach, but all of T'yin's demonstration. He picks out the correct sizing of gear fitting it to Caseth. Comfortable? he asks the bronze, recieving an affirmative. "Straps-oil once a sevenday." He murmurs to himself, and then taps Caseth's foreleg to mount. He seats himself gingerly, though the bronze assures him that his weight is barely noticeable. He twists as he had seen D'tirs assistant do and he notes that the equipment slides a bit. He dismounts, tightening the equipment correctly, and mounting again. This time it fits securely. M'thony listens to T'yin's information as Caseth listens to Viouth, and Caseth walks around slowly, his steps slow and slightly wavy, M'thony sways slowly to his dragon's gait, and it eventually becomes less and less necessary. They return to their starting point, indulging in the break, and looking intently at their clutchmates, until the next lesson.

Vey pops into the air and circles them, chirping wildly. He gives them a mental image: a gold with a large clutch of eggs.
Massath's head jerks up. ~R'ven, why don't you send Kree to Yima, and she can meet us at the beach to check out the clutch?~
R'ven grins. -A good idea.- He slips off Massath's back. Csalling Kree over, he writes a message and attaches it to the young green's leg. Giving her a mental image of his sister, he sends the firelizard on her way.

He called a break, Sae. We can stop now. Shrineth extends a foreleg and the girl half slides and half shimmies down it.
"Does this mean we can head to the Table for something?" She grins brilliantly, her stomach issuing a characteristic grumble.
Just stay AWAY from the apples, you here me? Let's ask if anyone else wants to go. Doe zooms down to the girl's extended wrist and trills her indignancy about being left out of everything.
"Oh, Doe, don't worry. We're going to head to the food place if we have time." She cranes her neck around, looking for the momentary authority figure. Spotting him, she raises her voice slightly. "T'yin? Do we have time to head to the Tables? If we do, want to come anyone?"

W'st rushes in from the Weyr, having fallen asleep for a while, Yimoth tags along behind, very eager to start training. W'st searches for help before spotting the 'straps, and with some difficulty assembles them on Yimoth, then after Yimoth gives him a 'leg up' , mounts, a feeling of surprise crosses his mind. You're built for me! Yimoth gave a annoyed glance, eager to start before agreeing, Of course.

The Albino sits astride Tuath, riding gearin place, but both, still not used to it at all. Somewhat wobbly, C'rin manages to hold on.
You're light! The gentle brown commented, easily supporting C'rin;s wieght, but also wobbly himself when walking around.
"Maybe we should try little tiny baby steps first. I'm afraid I'll fall if we don't."
Meanwhile, Dilandau was busy perched on C'rin's shoulder squaking and yelling flit-like curses at the dragon for being so ;wobbly and bumpy and stuff'
Sending images of falling and a slight sense of annoyance to his new bondmate, the brown quieted down, but still, squaked from time to time when being jerked back and forth.
C'rin smiled, looking around for a friend to talk with...

K'lessen runs in after his exuberent bronze, wishing fervently that he had waited just slightly longer before leaving the main weyr to find his sister... Mentally cursing his luck, he regains his composure, then walks in, one hand resting on the leg of his dragon. He nods respectfully at the Weyrlingmaster, then speaks.
"I am K'lessen, and my bronze is Nahoth. I apologize if I am late, but I was at High Reaches visiting my sister when the announcement was made, and did not realize that training had started."
He hands D'tir a note, slightly embarrassed.
"For some reason she thought I should give you this. Sisters are like that, I suppose, and she didn't want you to be angry with me."
The note reads:

Please excuse my brother K'lessen for being late to training. He was with K'ndelek and I at High Reaches, and had no way of knowing that training had begun. If you wish, I can visit and catch him up on what he missed if you are too busy to do so. You likely could use the help anyways, and Alieth and I have no tasks to attend to at present, seeing as with the Weyr newly opened, there is hardly anyone here. If this would be useful, simply let me know by way of firelizard I would have sent one of mine, but Sitoru refuses to leave and Azer is too young to go between as of yet.

Listen to him as you'd listen to me and all will go well." *He finishes his welcome speech and lets Kuvoth speak to the dragons* Welcome to the first part of your lives, training. It may be tough, but as I know you love your riders each of you will do your best I'm sure. You were clutched by a great Gold, and will do your mother proud here. This little smidge of man is D'tir. *The dragon gently taps the man with his tail, sending him stumbling forward a few steps.* We will be following his orders and will learn from him together as a whole. "D'tir!" The young man jumps from his dragon's harness with reckless ease, chuckling and waving cordially. Suddenly, he seems to really see the scene before him and quiets slightly.
"Did I come at a bad time? I know it's ben awhile but..." Rubbing the back of his neck, he sighs heavily, it was his specialty to be less than tactful. Should now be any different?
((OOC: I'm S'arn's new player, and if you knew his old self, you can clue me in. Igen said he was Brown Wing Second before he was a lost soul, and I was to talk to you about that. So...tada! If I need to earn him that again, I will. I just started him a few days ago, forgive any mistakes, I'm an easily bewildered person... :P ))
