Caer took the break in training as an opportunity to fly down from the rafters and join Kalya and Layath, chittering uhappily about being dismissed for the duration of the training. "Sorry, Caer, but you would have been in the way." The blue flit made a sort of fire lizard sigh, but chirruped his acceptance of the fact.
A break might be wise, Layath said, but Kalya knew she was far from tired and anxious to continue the training.
For others, maybe, but I know you aren't tired, Lay.
I don't mind much. Caer was starting to annoy me, anyway, begging to be let down.
"Oh! Sorry Lay, you should've told me," she murmured, feeding Caer some meatroll she had snagged a while ago.
He is only a fire lizard, and a small blue one at that. He is knew and anxious. It can be forgiven.
Glad you think so, Lay.
I am your lifemate. Most times we think the same.
"And for that Impression, every day am I thankful," Kalya replied, in a rare moment of empathy for her dragon's Impression expressed out loud.
