I've heard these kind of negative comments over and over. No, my dancer will probably not make a career Irish dancing, but neither will they in soccer,lacrosse,etc. No activity if truly loved with passion is ever a waste or ridiculous. My daughter is happiest when in the studio with her dance friends, learning new steps, supporting and celebrating her school. It's what brings her the most joy. I your child finds this in whatever activity they pursue
