We attended both feis days and while I will agree it was very crowded, we managed to find a spot in the hallway until we went into the champ room as the comp was about to start and claimed a few chairs. We found the stage managers and all the volunteers to be very friendly and helpful. My daughter loved the sashes and especially liked the Halloween themed ones on Sunday. We also really appreciated the round awards on Saturday being tape as you can never have enough electrical tape this time of year. Water bottles were a nice practical touch and ours will be used often.
I agree the venue could be improved with a larger space but we feel the opportunity to attend a double feis this close to a major, outweighed the inconveniences of the crowds. We were lucky to have good weather and be able to step outside for awards and to keep the doors open for a bit of a breeze. Thank you to all the volunteers who worked tirelessly to make these two days happen. I know from experience it’s a difficult and thankless job. We will be back next year.
