sounds like your best bet is to be strategic in choosing your feiseanna like you are already doing. your kid may end up in Open well before this one does!

I do ask this as a mom of a child who went through it- please don't hold it against the kid- she probably doesn't have the option to move to Open until first of year but still needs to get time on stage to get ready for the next thing.

If she's like most kids, the one with the firsts is chomping at the bit to try Open.

In any case, I assume she will be out of your hair by January, and then your daughter will move right into Open with no problem- a matter of months- but I can hear the frustration.

Good luck on everything- enjoy this time- Prelim is really the best of all of the levels- you'll realize it when she gets to Open! :)
