AN COIMISIÚN LE RINCÍ GAELACHA
Social Media Reminder

Dear Teachers, Parents and Dancers
As we prepare to welcome you all to our All Ireland Championships, we would respectfully ask you to read and comply with the following request:
Please refrain from posting photos, videos and images of any dancer competing at the Oireachtas on any social media channel from Saturday 28th January 2023..
We are, of course, aware of the desire to encourage and congratulate your pupils and dancers and you can still do this. These tips may be useful to help guide you in what is acceptable:
Group or individual photos of children who are not in dance costume
Good luck or other messages which do not identify the subject by age, competition, day dancing etc
Congratulatory messages re achievements at feisanna held from 28th January which do not include photos of the dancer in costume
We would remind you all of the CLRG social media policy relating to this: -
Rule 6.6
There should be no images of individual dancers, especially in costume, posted on social media in the lead up to competitive events. Any identifiers (such as names of individual dancers, competitor numbers, section information, etc) also must not be used in posts of any kind in the lead-up to competitive events.
Non-compliance with this policy will be grounds for disciplinary action. Any breach of this policy may be defined as Gross Misconduct under Section 3.11 of the CLRG Code of Conduct and Disciplinary Procedure.
Once results are announced and awards have been presented, you are welcome to post any photos/images as you choose. Teachers are asked to bring this message to the attention of all their parents and dancers, and we ask you to ensure that they comply with this directive.
Good Luck to you all for a successful and enjoyable Championships
